GKC Scholarship Applications

Nationally, only 55% of African American students graduate from high school on time. Of those who do graduate from high school, less than half enter a 4 year college. Currently, only 21% of African American’s 25 years or older have at least a bachelor’s degree.

The Greater Kansas City (MO) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is pleased to announce the offering of scholarships for African American high school seniors in the metropolitan area. For over the past 20 years, the Greater Kansas City (MO) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has assisted students in their pursuit of higher education.  We are proud to have awarded over $500,000 in scholarships to high school and college students from the Kansas City area.  As long as students are pursuing an undergraduate degree and the funds will go toward their undergraduate education, students may apply annually to renew the scholarship.


Students interested in applying must click on the link below for instructions and then complete the application process as outlined in the Scholarship Application link from one of the buttons below.  Applications and all supporting documents must be submitted by March 15, 2024 11:59 p.m.

 

All applications (including transcripts, official test scores, essay and letters of recommendation) must be emailed in Word or PDF format to gkclinksscholarship@gmail.com by March 15, 2024 11:59 p.m.
